Heywood Anglican Church Office
The existing church is made from stone with beautiful gable trusses. The church received an addition in the form of an octagon made from precast concrete panels. The original design had a star-like skylight, which was not built.
The new additional building is to house toilets, a flower preparation area, a vestry, and an office or counselling room. In addition, a new outdoor covered eating space is out of the westerly winds.
The addition sits away from the church with an enclosed link forming an entry courtyard. It complements the old church by replicating the existing church window rhythm and will be constructed from brick with concrete lintels and matching roof material.
